I can enable/disable this track with a hot key whenever I want, and regardless, it isn’t heard by the recording or audience. Mic Track: My Mixer again, only this time it’s being sent to my headphones as a monitor, and is not writing to file/track. Cable B: Computer audio coming into OBS and writing to file/stream. The result of this is as follows: Cable A: Mixer/Mic coming into OBS and writing to file/stream. I then boot the game (which will then send Sound to B as that is the system default). I now hear my computer sound through the headphones, but OBS monitor is still sending to the source that was default when it was first loaded (headphones). For even more safety, I deselect the tracks I know I’m recording to insure that the Mic track doesn’t actually write anything anywhere.

So in advance audio properties, I now set my Line in Mic track as Monitor (mute output).

OBS uses the active output source when it is booted up to judge where the “monitor” functionality will go when you elect to monitor a track, so now when you select to monitor a track in OBS, it’ll go to your headphones. First, I set my desktop default audio to be my headphones (small icon in the bottom right of windows. Then it becomes a little tricky, but not bad. If you want to monitor the mixer/mic through the headphones too then, just set your Mic track (same tab) to be your Line in/Mixer/interface device. Both my mic and my desktop now go into OBS just fine, and I can hear it through my headphones too. I THEN have my Desktop Audio Sources in OBS (audio tab) as Cable A and Cable B.

I then set my headphones to “listen” to Cable B. My Mixer Setup: My mixer is Audio Cable A, and my desktop audio comes through Audio Cable B (these are virtual cables). It’s like $2 or something, completely worth it. If you have more sources you need to hear at the same time though, such as Game/computer audio, then you’ll need Virtual Audio Cable and the extra cables for it. Add it there and it’ll come right in just fine. Why not just have it as an input device in Windows and add it as an audio device in OBS’s settings? Audio tab.
